He has led iconic luxury hotels and pre-opening projects across Europe, Russia, the United States, the Middle East and island destinations.

Oliver’s passion for excellence, guest experience and innovation will guide our vision to set new standards for luxury hospitality in Belarus and establish Waldorf Astoria Minsk as one of the region’s leading luxury destinations.

On 8 September, the Global Destination Awards 2026 gala ceremony took place in Moscow, celebrating excellence in luxury tourism. Organised by World Fashion Channel in partnership with Global Destination Group, the event brought together leading hospitality professionals, developers, media representatives, celebrities and influencers shaping the future of premium travel.

Winners were recognised across 30 categories encompassing leading hotels, resorts, destinations and tourism-industry leaders. Waldorf Astoria Minsk received the prestigious title of “Best Luxury Hilton Hotel in the CIS.”

The hotel was represented at the ceremony by Tim Ettelt, Senior Director of Operations, Russia & CIS, Hilton, and Darya Tretyakova, Commercial Director of Waldorf Astoria Minsk, who accepted the award on behalf of the entire team.
